Launching in Lagos this December

Every car checked before you see it.

Buy, sell, hire or lease through providers we have checked ourselves. No car goes on Motors until a mechanic has inspected it, its history is clean and its papers match its owner.

Only want to post a car without checks? List it on naijamart.com.

Buy or sell a verified car

Every car inspected, history-checked and graded. Sellers get competing offers from dealers; buyers pay through Trust and insure before driving away.

Lease for months

Cars with the provider's driver, by the month, for people and companies, from checked fleet owners. Loans and lease to own come from partners; NaijaMart never lends.

Five questions every car on Motors has already answered.

Most cars in Nigeria are second-hand. These checks are done once, paid for by the seller, and shown to every buyer.

  1. What state is the car in?

A 200-point inspection at the seller's door by a vetted mechanic. Every photo is time- and GPS-stamped at the car, and the car gets a grade from A to E.

  2. What happened to it before?

For imported cars: US auction and title records, so a car sold as a wreck or a flood car shows up before you pay. Mileage is compared across every record.

  3. Are the papers real, and is it stolen?

Customs papers, registration and plates are matched to the car and the seller, insurance is checked on NIID, and a police stolen-car check is done.

  4. Who am I dealing with?

Every seller and provider confirms their identity with NIN or BVN, and carries an integrity score built from real deals.

  5. How am I protected?

Pay with NaijaMart Trust. The money moves only when the car matches its report and the papers change hands.

Sell your car to the best of several offers, not to one buyer.

No queues at a centre and no lowball offer from a company buying to resell. Dealers compete for your inspected car, and you keep the difference.

  1. Step 1
    Value

See what your car is worth in a minute.

  2. Step 2
    Inspect

A mechanic comes to you; the report belongs to your car.

  3. Step 3
    Offers

Dealers and buyers make firm offers. You pick the best.

  4. Step 4
    Paid

The buyer's money sits in Trust before handover. You are paid at the handshake.

  5. Step 5
    Papers

Sale agreement, receipt and change-of-ownership checklist, ready made.

How selling works

Insured before you drive away.

When a sale is agreed, the buyer can ask a Motors partner insurer for third-party or comprehensive quotes, filled in from the verified car. The insurer contacts them directly; NaijaMart does not sell insurance.

Chauffeur firm, car-hire company, dealer or mechanic?

Motors accepts a small number of providers before the December launch. Every one is checked, so being on Motors is itself a mark of quality.
